VSE Aviation and its 1st Choice Aerospace subsidiary are teaming with Aviation Clean Air and ACA/IAE to distribute, install and support ACA’s Ion Distribution Unit. These ionization units produce up to 2 million positive and negative ions, killing up to 99.7% of pathogens+, allergens and contaminants both airborne and on surfaces – a critical differentiator from other products.
According to ACA and its subsidiary ACA/IAE, the needlepoint bipolar ionization (NPBI™) technology that powers Aviation Clean Air’s (ACA) Air and Surface Purification System and the ACA/IAE – ACA4800GU-1 ground-use purification systems demonstrated successful neutralization by ionization of the COVID-19 virus.
While the technology is not new – it’s been in the business and commercial aviation markets since 2012 – the systems have recently been tested specifically for COVID-19 neutralization. Laboratory test results+ showed neutralization began immediately and that up to 99.4% of the virus was inactivated within 30 minutes.
ACA, VSE Aviation and 1st Choice Aerospace are prepared to support the global aerospace market today with this technology to provide continuous cabin sanitation and purification, ensuring airlines keep travelers, flight attendants and pilots as safe as possible as we return to the skies.
